After being closed since 2024, after a rockfall. There has been ongoing security work for a long time. This work is now nearing completion and it appears that the deadline will be met and that the opening will be on July 14th as planned.
Many millions NOK have been spent on securing the area after it collapsed in 2025. The work has been ongoing since the snow disappeared in the area and it has now been promised that the deadline for opening that has been set will be met.
All security measures have been implemented and it should be completely safe to allow traffic to resume once it opens.
We look forward to transporting tourists from Geiranger to Åndalsnes and Ålesund again.
